Scale conditioner for high chromium steels and nickel and cobalt alloys. Treatment with Ardrox® 188 modifies the scale to facilitate removal with mildly acidic materials such as Ardrox® 1871, Ardrox® 1873 or Ardrox® 1873A. Supplied as a powder for dissolution in water. Alkaline permanganate.
